Craig Stllmacher made videos of the testimonials to Senator Linda Scheid at her memorial ceremony. The first video gives the Police and Fire Presentation of Colors. Fire Chief Niles Zigmond, Minnesota Fire Chief’s Legislative Chair, presents a Fire Axe to Senator Scheid’s sons Scott and Kristofer for her years of service and support of Minnesota Fire Departments. Reverend Paul Allick, of St. George’s Episcopal Church then gives the Invocation.
Fond recollections by Representative Debra Hilstrom, Senator Ann Rest, Linda Scheid's sons, Scott and Kristofer, her sister Becky Longabaugh, and Senators Warren Limmer and John Marty are included in the videos. Governor Mark Dayton recalled Senator Linda Scheid, proclaimed the day : “Linda Scheid Day” in Minnesota, ordered flags to be flown at half-staff, and presented Scheid’s two sons with flags flown over the State Capitol.
